Annie Shales HILL

Was engaged to and a pupil of, Frederick Walker, the English pai nter, who died
quite young. Annie was sent off to Tenterfield, Australia, to vi sit her cousins, Dearden, and then on to her other cousins, Tust in, in New Zealand.

She was to have been met by a Walker cousin when she got off th e boat in Dunedin, N.Z., but Edwin Hardy, his cousin, had to g o instead. They met and the rest is history.
